Dan makes it five in London!

The English Federation of Disability Sport were pleased to learn today that one of our very own team has been selected for London 2012 Paralympic Games. Dan West, the EFDS Information and communications officer, will make his fifth Games appearance in August.

An established field athlete, Dan was overwhelmed about the news. He said,

“What an amazing feeling to be selected to represent Great Britain in London. It has been a long wait to be confirmed as part of this great team, especially when the nerves kicked in! It felt like I was waiting to hear if I was selected for my first games not my fifth. Thanks to everyone who has helped me get this far”.

Sarah Marl, Marketing and Communications Manager at EFDS commented,

“We are proud to have a champion in our team. Not many athletes can say they have competed in five Games! Balancing a heavy sport and work schedule is always tasking for any athlete, but we are so happy to support Dan in fulfilling his dream”.
