Everyone Active gets on their bike!

As part of Everyone Active's drive to get a million people active, they are raising funds to help disabled people to be active for life. So they have teamed up with our programme Disability Sport Events to support more disabled people to participate in sport at every level. The monies raised will fund our festival of sport events held every year.

There are over 11 million disabled people in the UK. Yet shocking figures show that only 2 out of ten disabled people take part in sport once a week.

So throughout 2012, Everyone Active colleagues and their members will raise money through events, challenges & collection boxes displayed at centres.

You can support the appeal by sponsoring on-line.

Everyone Active colleagues and members get on their bikes to raise money and break a world record!

During September 2012, Everyone Active colleagues are holding a Cycling Challenge Relay which will involve biking outdoors from Centre to Centre across the country and raising money for the appeal.

Plus, members & colleagues will be attempting the Guinness World Record for a 24 hour indoor cycle relay. Taking place in 50 centres, they will need thousands of colleagues and members to take part, get sponsored and help raise money for their appeal.

Commenting on the partnership announcement, Everyone Active Commercial Director Neil King said:

“Disability Sport Events delivers a vital programme to many disabled people nationally, and it is our privilege to be able to help raise funds to ensure they can continue this excellent work.”
