Deliver activity or sport sessions? You could help EFDS research

The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) is working on our next piece of research. This will focus on those who deliver sport and active recreation in its various ways and environments. We aim to understand the ways in which we can help these deliverers to include more disabled people and boost confidence. EFDS is looking for people to answer a few questions on inclusive activities.

This latest work adds to a growing portfolio of research. EFDS aims to understand how to support disabled people to be active more effectively. So far, we have captured insight from people with various impairments as well as supporters and non-disabled people who may take part alongside.

EFDS wants to learn more from those who deliver activities, their views and opinions of providing opportunities for disabled people, and the ways in which we can help them to have more confidence to do so.

To do this, EFDS is working with research agency 2CV. The agency will explore the genuine experiences of deliverers regarding inclusive sports. We aim to understand the real-life successes and challenges in delivering this type of session.

As part of this project, we will ask people who deliver sport sessions to answer four questions about inclusive activity. This can be sports coaches, instructors, community sports leaders or volunteers- anyone who is on the ground delivering activity sessions.

This should take no longer than 5-10 minutes to complete. We invite you to be open and honest in your answers as answers are completely anonymous. Your name and email address will not be attached to your responses.
