Tees Valley Sport launch new multi-sports summer camp

This summer, Tees Valley Sport is hosting a three day sports camp for young people with physical impairments, aged 11-18. The only summer sports camp of its kind in the region, it is a fantastic opportunity for young disabled people who love sport and want to challenge themselves.

Tees Valley Sport's Discover your Ability Summer Camp will take place from 21-23 August at Teesside University's state of the art facilities. The sessions will run from 10am-3pm each day and will be led by experienced coaches and physiotherapists.

This is a unique opportunity for many young disabled people from across the North East region to receive experienced coaching and challenge themselves in new sports.

Activities will include multi-sport sessions, physiological testing, strength and conditioning training, and nutrition advice. There will also be opportunities to meet some of the region's world class para athletes, who will be there to support participants.

There are 20 places available on the Discover your Ability Summer Camp and the cost to take part is £45.

To find out more and register your interest to take part, visit Tees Valley Sport website or contact Jean Lordon or Catherine Woods in Tees Valley Sport office on 01642 342287.
