England learning disability side defeat South Africa

England learning disability cricket team got their INAS Tri-Series campaign off to a perfect start with a six wicket victory over South Africa at Chester Boughton Hall.

Dan Bowser celebrates his half century

Alex Jervis took 5-46 as the hosts dismissed South Africa for 173 – a performance which earned the man of the match award. Jervis, along with Matt Browne (2-24) hauled England back into the match after a flying start by South Africa saw them reach 90-1 within 11 overs.

Dan Bowser spearheaded the reply with an explosive 83* from only 56 balls as England chased down the target with 15 overs to spare. Bowser’s innings included 13 fours and one six.

The series continues when England face Australia tomorrow at Grappenhall Cricket Club.
