Entry open for the Typhoo National Junior Athletics Championships 2015

The entry forms for the Typhoo National Junior Athletics Championships are now available on our website. Hundreds of young disabled athletes from all over the UK will take part in this annual event. It is sponsored this year for the first time by Typhoo and supported by the Lions Club International. The event will take place at the University of Warwick athletics track on the 27-28 June 2015.

Last year, the North East team was elated to lift the Regional Trophy. Their long awaited triumph came after hundreds of young disabled athletes competed in a full track and field programme at the same Warwick venue.

The event was the climax of all the recent regional qualifiers held around the country and a chance to spot future track and field stars.

For over 25 years, the Championships have provided thousands of young disabled athletes with the opportunity to develop their talent and compete against their national rivals. The full programme ensures there are disabled competitors with a wide range of impairments taking part.

Many elite disabled athletes, who began their golden careers at the event, remember these Junior Championships fondly. Paralympians Hannah Cockroft, Shelly Woods, Aled Davies and Hollie Arnold used the event as part of their development to become world-class athletes.

The entry forms are now live on the events sections of our website. Deadline for entries is 29 May 2015.
