LimbPower secures crucial funding for new practical resource website

LimbPower and partners have secured crucial funding to create Limbformation, a website for children and families with limb difference.

Funded by Starworks, Limbformation will provide an easy to use one-stop shop website, offering information, resources, links and advice to support children and families living with limb difference.

The website will also offer guidance and downloadable information to professionals working with children living with limb difference. This includes those who are born with a congenital limb disorder and those who have experienced an amputation.

Carly Bauert, Limbformation Project Manager said: “One of the main focuses of this website will be to inform parents as early as the prenatal scans about the charities, resources and services available to help them and their child come to terms with limb loss, limb absence and limb difference. The team will offer support and empower parents from the moment they first discover their child has a limb difference, and to take a further step in fighting the isolation that many families feel”.

This project is being managed by LimbPower. For further information please contact Carly Bauert or ring her on 01453 886940.
