Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sport open disability sport fund

Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire Sport (CSW Sport) has opened a Disability Sport Fund. Aimed at projects to boost disability participation, the Fund is available up to £5000.

The CSW Disability Sport Fund is linked to the CSW Disability Sport Strategy, aligned to the overall CSW Sport Strategy and mission within the objective ‘To create and promote opportunities for all in sport and physical activity’.

CSW Sport is the strategic lead for Sport and Physical Activity in the sub-region and they want to see more people active, more often in Coventry, Solihull and Warwickshire. This includes more disabled people active at whatever level they wish to take part at.

The funding is aimed at projects seeking grant assistance between £500 and £2000 (without partnership funding), or between £1000 and £5000 (providing at least 50% cash partnership funding).

The closing date for applications is 29 November 2013. They are looking for applicants who have exciting project ideas, delivered other successful CSW Sport programmes or from those who have not secured Sport England funding for work directly supporting disability sport provision in Coventry, Solihull or Warwickshire since 2012.
