As a Federation founded in 1998, EFDS benefits from the wealth of its Members’ expertise. In 2015, EFDS added the Associate Membership scheme to move the charity’s vision forward and encourage more organisations to get involved. Through the Associate Membership, EFDS will work with a range of leading national, regional or local organisations with the relevant experience and knowledge.
EFDS exists to make active lives possible and ensure that millions of disabled people can lead active lifestyles. Dedicated to disabled people in sport and physical activity, EFDS supports a wide range of organisations to include disabled people more effectively.
As Associate Members, organisations agree to support EFDS’s Charter for Change, which was launched in February 2015 and aims to improve the number of active disabled people. The Charter outlines the key changes needed to ensure many more disabled people can reap the benefits of being active for life.
