EFDS Director to talk at Sport and Recreation Alliance Directors Club networking event

The Sport and Recreation Alliance Directors Club’s third meeting of 2015 will take place in Loughborough on the evening of Monday 28 September. This is the first event to take place outside of London since the founding of the group in Summer 2014.

This event will feature a talk from experienced and well respected disability consultant Phil Friend, who is also an EFDS Board member. The talk entitled "Nothing about us without us" will consider factors affecting disability engagement in sport and sports governance.

Phil Friend OBE

Phil, himself a wheelchair user, is acknowledged as the UK's foremost consultant on disability matters. A powerful and highly popular communicator, his company – Phil & Friends - provides consultancy to many of the country's best-known companies. In addition to his professional activities, he is also a respected champion for equal opportunities and diversity in general.

Following Phil’s talk, and a short Q & A, the evening has a drinks reception and the opportunity to network with fellow ADC members.

Free to all Alliance Directors Club members, this exclusive event presents the opportunity to enjoy a drinks reception, presentation and networking.

Non-members are also welcome to attend, but will be charged a small fee.
