CP Sport announces partnership with DM Orthotics

Cerebral Palsy Sport, (CP Sport) the country's leading disability sports organisation supporting people with cerebral palsy, has announced a new corporate charity partnership with D M orthotics.

DM Orthotics is a world leading provider of medical rehabilitiation and sports performance products. They design and manufacture dynamic elastomeric fabric orthoses to improve rehabilitation and sports performance for people with physical impairments.

The new partnership will help fund Cerebral Palsy Sport's KickStart programme and support the development of new areas of sustainable cerebral palsy specific football across the country. Working with County FAs, football league clubs, local charities and local authorities, the programme encourages activity and developing playing opportunities for all.

D M Orthotics will be actively getting involved in the programme by attending KickStart events around the country and will helping promote the work of Cerebral Palsy Sport more widely to encourage even more children and young people to get involved.

Martin Matthews, Managing Director for D M Orthotics said:

“We are delighted to be working in partnership with CP Sport. D M Orthotics’ ethos is about encouraging independence and we are an advocate for active lifestyles. In this respect CP Sport and their grass roots sports programmes for people with cerebral palsy is a perfect fit. We are really looking forward to getting involved with CP Sport’s events and helping to promote sports participation for people with CP around the country.”

Ali Talbot, Chief Executive of Cerebral Palsy Sport said:

“It is fantastic to have the support of D M Orthotics. Our KickStart programme has already helped hundreds of children and young people to access fun, regular and appropriate CP specific sessions in their local area, and it is with the help of partnerships like this one with D M Orthotics that we hope to help many more.”

D M Orthotics kicked off their partnership with Cerebral Palsy Sport at the organisation's National Disability Sports Development Conference, held at Nottingham Conference Centre on Tuesday 8 December 2015.

Cerebral Palsy Sport is the country's leading sports organisation supporting people who have cerebral palsy to reach their potential.
