Registration for 2016 LimbPower Games now open

Registration is now open for the 9th annual LimbPower Games, which will be held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May 2016.   

LimbPower, the National Disability Sports Organisation (NDSO) for amputees and people with a limb impairments will host its flagship event at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birthplace of the Paralympic movement. On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 May, amputees and people with limb impairments from around the UK will come together at the Games to take part in a range of sporting activities.

For many people with limb impairments, the LimbPower Games is the first opportunity they have to try out new sports and activities in a fun, friendly and inclusive environment. Among the sports on offer this year are: archery, basketball, tennis, table tennis, sitting volleyball, swimming, athletics (track and field) and cycling. Plus new to the event programme this year will be Nordic Walking and some bespoke fitness sessions.

Each year, the LimbPower Games provides a re-introduction to physical activity for lots of people following illness or injury. The Games can help build an individual’s confidence, improve their mobility and help them to find a sport or activity they really enjoy.
