WheelPower secure four year deal with SIA Healthcare

WheelPower, the national charity for wheelchair sport secures a new partnership agreement with SIA Healthcare, to support the delivery of the Inter Spinal Unit Games over the next four years.

WheelPower is delighted to announce the new partnership with SIA Healthcare - the dedicated home appliance and prescription medication delivery service for people with a physical impairment, resulting from spinal cord injury.

The agreement will see SIA Healthcare support the delivery of WheelPower's Inter Spinal Unit Games from 2016 to 2019. They will help fund opportunities  for over 400 people with recent spinal cord injuries to take part in the Games as part of their rehabilitation.

The Inter Spinal Unit Games is WheelPower's flagship event for people with a recent spinal cord injury.

WheelPower Inter Spinal Unit Games 2015

Held at Stoke Mandeville Stadium, the birthplace of the Paralympic movement, the event brings together patients from 12 Spinal Unit Centres around the UK and Ireland for a festival of wheelchair sport. With competitive events and have-a-go sessions, the Games is an essential part of the rehabilitation process for many patients.

The 2016 WheelPower Inter Spinal Unit Games will take place at Stoke Mandeville Stadium from 11-15 April.
