Make a difference as a Trustee with EFDS

Now is a great time to help champion and deliver a step change in physical activity and sports participation amongst disabled people. The English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) is seeking new trustees to help drive the national charity's vision.

Over the last few years, the English Federation of Disability Sport (EFDS) has established itself as the leading organisation in its field. EFDS is responding to the opportunity to expand its role as a key player in the delivery of the Government’s Sporting Futures objectives and the new Sport England strategy.

We are Trutees job advert to lead and grow the national charity and help achieve our vision of disabled people being “Active for Life”.

EFDS exists in order to support a broad range of organisations to more effectively include individual disabled people in active recreation. As a charity and national partner of Sport England, we work with an increasing number of stakeholders, Member and Associate Member organisations to increase grass roots participation.

Through our “Charter for Change” we also raise awareness of what needs to be done to increase disabled people’s engagement in sport and physical activity.

We are keen to receive applications from exceptional individuals who share our passion for and commitment to transforming the way disabled people are engaged into active recreation.

Applications to Barry Horne received by Monday 16 May 2016 will be considered in time for recommendation to members at the Annual General Meeting on Thursday 7 July 2016.

For those shortlisted, panel interviews will take place in Central London on Tuesday 7 or Wednesday 8 June 2016.
