The FA calls on disabled players to take part in survey

We are pleased to support The FA on a new research project. Together, we are exploring how grassroots football clubs can provide an inclusive and welcoming experience for disabled people and people with long-term health conditions.

Activity Alliance has kicked-off a new research project with The FA. The goal is to understand what an inclusive environment looks like on and off-field within grassroots football clubs and develop a resource bank to support their workforces to create and maintain it.

As part of the project, we are conducting a survey to gather essential insight and want to hear from both disabled and non-disabled past, current, and future players.

If you, or someone you care for is disabled or has a long-term health condition, we’d like you to take part in this short survey. We want to hear from people who currently play football, and those who do not play at the moment but are interested in doing so.

Share your experiences with The FA and help them to provide more inclusive opportunities for you to play the beautiful game.

We want to know:

  • How playing football makes you feel
  • About your experiences of grassroots club football, including what motivates you to play and what things might stop you from taking part
  • How can grassroots football clubs create more inclusive and welcoming environments for disabled players

The survey will take around 15 minutes to complete.

After completing the survey, you will have the option to enter into a prize draw. The prizes are one £100 Amazon voucher or one of four £50 Amazon vouchers. The prize draw will take place after the survey closes on Sunday 19 June 2022 and the five winners will be contacted directly.
