Runners taking part in Manchester Half Marathon 2018

Run in Europe’s fourth largest marathon on Sunday 16th of April through the iconic streets of Manchester. Famous for its flat course and friendly atmosphere, this is the perfect first marathon to take part in. You can sign up individually or you can join as a group and help Activity Alliance in their mission to achieve fairness for disabled people in sport and activity.

There is a registration fee of £30 per person and we ask that individuals commit to fundraising £200.

Why fundraise for Activity Alliance?

Disabled people are twice as likely to be inactive as non-disabled people. Before the pandemic, we were seeing glimmers of hope as disabled people’s activity levels were improving. Findings in our most recent Annual Disability and Activity Survey shows that less than 3 in 10 disabled people feel encouraged to return to physical activity after the pandemic. As the leading voice for disabled people in sport and activity, we are seriously concerned about the potential long-term damage to the nation’s least active.

All Activity Alliance runners will benefit from:

  • Regular newsletters and charity updates
  • Activity Alliance fundraising ideas pack
  • An official Activity Alliance vest or t-shirt to wear on marathon day
  • A friendly closed online forum to chat with other runners

We cannot do this alone, so sign up now!
