The National Disability Sports Organisations (NDSOs) are a good starting point for many deaf and disabled people who want to be more active. They provide advice, support, and opportunities for people of all ages with specific impairments to take part in sport and activity.

Dwarf Sports Association UK – 31 January 2022 

DSAuk host successful introduction to shooting event 
DSAuk hosted a hugely successful introduction to shooting event on Saturday 29 January for people with a physical impairment. The event was held in partnership with National Disability Sports Organisations CP Sport, LimbPower, and WheelPower.

LimbPower – 31 January 2022 

LimbPower release new top tips for cycling infographic for children 
LimbPower and British Cycling announce a new infographic to support children and young people with limb difference to engage in cycling.

British Blind Sport – 31 January 2022 

British Blind Sport to run new programme of ‘Have a Go Day’ events across country in 2022 
British Blind Sport is pleased to announce the launch of its annual ‘Have a Go Day 2022’ programme, which aims to encourage more blind and partially sighted people and their families to get active and participate in sport and physical activity.

WheelPower – 31 January 2022 

WheelPower to host inclusive sports festival in March 2022 
WheelPower in-person events return for 2022. The first opportunity takes place in Colchester, Essex on Thursday 10 March. WheelPower Sports Festivals are a great place for anyone with a physical disability over the age of five to discover a wide variety of sports, and most importantly have lots of fun whilst doing so.

UK Deaf Sport – 24 January 2022 

UK Disability Snooker Championship event returns for 2022 
Entry is now open for the UK Disability Snooker Championship event which takes place in Northampton on 25-27 March. The event is set to be the biggest held for disabled people, with players from all eight classification groups eligible to play.

CP Sport – 24 January 2022  

Sport England funding supports NDSO partnership deliver events for disabled people 
CP Sport is working in partnership with DSAuk, LimbPower, WheelPower to run a series of free events for people with physical impairments this year. The events are supported by funding from Sport England’s tackling inequalities fund.

Special Olympics GB - 20 January 2022 

One year to go until the Special Olympics World Winter Games start
The dates for the Special Olympics World Winter Games have now been confirmed and will take place next year from 21-27 January 2023 in Kazan Russia. Special Olympics Great Britain will send a group of 17 athletes to compete at the Games.
