The National Disability Sports Organisations (NDSOs) are a good starting point for many deaf and disabled people who want to be more active. They provide advice, support, and opportunities for people of all ages with specific impairments to take part in sport and activity.

British Blind Sport – 25 May 2022 

British Blind Sport release guide for Vision Rehabilitation Workers 
British Blind Sport is pleased to release a new guide for Vision Rehabilitation Workers who support blind and partially sighted adults through physical activity. The accessible resource includes activity cards and a variety of low-intensity workouts that can be shared with clients to do at home or in local outdoor spaces.

LimbPower – 25 May 2022 

LimbPower to host Exmoor Coastal Trek
Get active and raise money for LimbPower as the same time on their Exmoor coastal trek challenge. They are looking for a team of disabled and non-disabled walkers to complete a sponsored 2-day hike along Exmoor’s stunning coastal path on 24-25 September 2022.

UK Deaf Sport – 24 May 2022 

UK Deaf Sport seeks new Chief Executive Officer
UK Deaf Sport is looking for a new Chief Executive Officer. Someone who will define strategic direction, drive progress and results. And, who believes in leading opportunities for more deaf people to participate in sport throughout their lives and more deaf athletes to perform on the world stage. The organisation is also on the lookout for two new non-executive directors.

CP Sport – 10 May 2022 

CP Sport partner with Sport England to level up access to sport and physical activity
CP Sport is amongst a group of over 120 organisations working in partnership with Sport England. CP Sport will receive expertise, support and an investment of £891,440 to tackle the inequalities people with cerebral palsy experience in sport and physical activity.

Dwarf Sports Association UK – 6 May 2022 

186 athletes shine at 29th National Dwarf Games
The 29th National Dwarf Games took place in Wolverhampton on 29 April-2 May 2022. 186 athletes of all ages took part in a remarkable weekend of sports events and activities. Organisers also welcomes athletes from Australia, Germany, and the Netherlands.

WheelPower – 3 May 2022 

Free Wheelchair Slalom kits available for PE teachers across the UK
WheelPower is currently gifting free Wheelchair Slalom kits to PE teachers who are looking to add a fun, fast paced and exciting game to their inclusive sport sessions. Special Olympics GB – 27 April 2022 

Special Olympics GB announces Colin Dyer as new CEO
Special Olympics GB is pleased to welcome Colin Dyer, a highly experienced leader within the charity sector, to the organisation. Colin joins from Special Olympics GB after 12 years as Chief Executive at the charity WellChild.
