The National Disability Sports Organisations (NDSOs) are a good starting point for many deaf and disabled people who want to be more active. They provide advice, support, and opportunities for people of all ages with specific impairments to take part in sport and activity.

Dwarf Sports Association UK supporters take part in cycling event to raise money for the charity. The group put on their cycling gear and cycled to fundraising success on Mickleover cycle path in Derbyshire.

WheelPower, the national charity for wheelchair sport, welcomed a group of disabled people to Stoke Mandeville Stadium to experience a variety of fitness classes from Yoga to Tai Chi. 

CP Sport – 20 June 2022 

Huge success as CP Sport Swimming Nationals return
CP Sport Swimming Nationals returned to Nottingham on Sunday 19 June following a two-year break due to Covid-19. Swimmers from all over the country travelled to complete in what was a hugely successful event.

UK Deaf Sport – 14 June 2022 

UK Deaf Sport announce new funding opportunity for Deaf Sports in England for 2022
New fund opens for Deaf Sports in England. UK Deaf Sport is seeking to identify clubs and organisations that support Deaf or Hard of Hearing people to optimise their opportunities to participate in sport. Supported by Sport England’s Together Fund.

Special Olympics GB – 8 June 2022 

Jack Grealish Fights for Inclusion in New Special Olympics GB role
England and Manchester City star, Jack Grealish signs-up to Special Olympics GGB as a principal Ambassador. Grealish has committed to a long-term role with the aim of raising visibility of the charity’s work and driving support and opportunities for the 1.5 million people who live with intellectual disabilities in Great Britain today.
